Day 1:  Puerto Maldonado – Madre de Dios River – Monkey Island

Tambopata Eco Lodge Rainforest –Arrival and pick-up from Puerto Maldonado airport/coach terminal by our representative.
Transfer to our office to store unnecessary baggage for the trip.
Departure to the port of Puerta Capitania and board a motorboat for a scenic journey up the Madre de Dios River.
Along the river, observe diverse flora and fauna including turtles, birds, capybaras, and lizards.
Stop at Monkey Island (Isla de los Monos) to observe three monkey species.
Arrival at Eco Tambo Lodge, greeted with fresh fruit juice.
Accommodation in twin private rooms followed by a short rest.
Guided jungle walk to learn about local animals, plants, and ancient trees.

Day 2: Tambopata Ecolodge Rainforest – Sandoval Lake

After breakfast, we will board a motorized boat and navigate along the Madre de Dios River to the Sandoval Lake Reserve checkpoint.
Begin a 3 km hike through the rainforest to reach Sandoval Lake, then board a canoe to explore the heart of the lake.
Enjoy lunch while observing some of the lake’s most iconic wildlife, including giant river otters, black caimans, and a wide variety of bird species.
Return to the lodge for dinner, a refreshing shower, and an overnight stay.
Optional: Night jungle walk.

Day 3: Piranha Fishing – Canopy Walk – Zipline

Start the day with a guided jungle hike to discover the incredible biodiversity of the Amazon, including medicinal plants, ancient trees, and fascinating wildlife.
Try your luck fishing for piranhas in the Gamitana River.
Return to the lodge for lunch and a short rest.

Wildlife Tour –Most rainforest mammals are inconspicuous and hard to spot being small, well-camouflaged, shy and nocturnal. Populations are patchily distributed and you have to be in the right place at the right time. Even sizeable creatures can be overlooked because

of dense vegetation. Around inhabited areas most mammals have been over-hunted. But animals there are, and with luck, patience and a good naturalist-guide you will probably spot at least five or ten of those described here.

Day 1: Arrival in Puerto Maldonado – Transfer to Amazonia Lodge -Wildlife Tour

Arrival in Puerto Maldonado, Peru.
Transfer to the tour office for registration.
Proceed to Capitanía, the main port.
Embark on a motorized boat journey along the Bajo Madre de Dios River.
En route, observe various wildlife species such as Ronsocos, Alligators, Turtles, Herons, Cormorants, and more.
Arrival at Amazonia Lodge and welcome with a tropical Amazon fruit nectar.
Check into comfortable bungalows.
Enjoy a typical local lunch at the lodge.
Guided walk to Cocha Caimán, a small lagoon, to observe black and white caimans along with other birds and monkeys.
Witness a spectacular Amazonian sunset.
Dinner at the lodge followed by free time to relax in the bar and game room.

Day 2: Exploration of Sandoval Lake Reserved Center

Wake up to the sounds of birds and howler monkeys.
Enjoy a hearty breakfast.
Boat trip along the Madre de Dios River to the entrance of the Sandoval Lake Reserve.
Guided walk through lush Amazonian vegetation.
Reach a small channel leading to Sandoval Lake Reserve and board a rowing boat.
Explore the diverse flora and fauna around Sandoval Lake, including parrots, toucans, alligators, turtles, and hopefully the Giant River Otter.
Return journey back to the lodge by boat.
Dinner and overnight stay at Amazonia Lodge.

Day 3: Return to Puerto Maldonado

Breakfast at the lodge.
Pack belongings and prepare for departure.
Boat transfer back to Puerto Maldonado.
