Day 1: Puerto Maldonado – Lago Sandoval .

Sandoval Lake 4days / 3night

Tours Day 1: Puerto Maldonado To Sandoval  Lake.

Today reception at the airport, Bus Stations  of Puerto Maldonado, transfer to our main office to register for the and be able to leave the luggage, take what is necessary for the tour, transfer to the port where the outboard boat awaits us to board and continue the trip down the River Alto Madre  De Dios .

to the control post of the Sandoval Lake Reserve, where we will register to enter the National Reserve (TAMBOPATA CANDAMO TOURS,

from there we will walk 3 km into the deep jungle (approximately 1 hour and a half), until we reach a small port where our rowing canoe awaits us to navigate through a snake-shaped canyon until we reach SANDOVAL LAKE

we will cross paddling approximately 1 hour to the next port where our hostel is located accommodation in their respective private rooms. after lunch we will visit the LAKE SANDOVAL

in our rowing canoe to observe the family of giant otters (Lobo de Rio), as some birds the shanshos (prehistoric birds), monkeys other endemic species etc.

At night we will take the flashlights and we will board the rowing canoe and explore the lake where the black alligator, nocturnal birds, turtles will be observed and I boarded the lake to the nocturnal monkey hunting insects, frogs and other species then return to the lodge to rest in their respective rooms.

Tours Day 2: Sandoval Lake – Giant Otter Observation – Exploration of the Flora  .

Today we will wake up with the songs of the birds to enjoy a delicious breakfast, then we will have the opportunity to observe the family of giant otters (Lobos del Rio) that frequent the lake and are more active, The Sandoval Lake Reserve offers a abundant wildlife,

including more than 65 species of migratory and resident birds that feed on fish and prehistoric birds (Hoatzins), cormorants, herons, Kingfishers, ospreys, turtles, charapas, tarikayas, caimans and some monkeys that are at the edge of the lake eating fruits of the palm trees.

Where you will observe you will be able to take many photographs (of wildlife), after this activity return to the lodge to enjoy a delicious lunch.

In the afternoon we will explore the depths of the jungle to observe a great variety of flora and fauna where we will go in search of families of mammals, reptiles, birds, monkeys, peccaries, tapirs, toucans, etc.

Then our guide will take us to see the huge and imposing nut trees (the chestnut) that they collect to market that this is a very important natural product and many healing plants (ayahusca, chacruna, cañacaña, ajo sacha, huayo sugar, Chuchuhuasi, copaiba etc.

Then we will take the big lianas to swing like a real Tarzan after this activity back to the lodge to enjoy dinner.

Tours Day 3: Macaw Palm Tree  to Adventure ( Canopy Tower) .

Today we will get up very early to enjoy a beautiful sunrise, we will enjoy a delicious breakfast, then we will board our rowing canoe to cross to the other end of the lake where a large number of different palm trees grow in the water thus creating a marsh area. from the Amazon jungle.
This place is called Collpa de Palmeras that attracts various species of parrots and macaws that come every morning to eat the fruit of its dry palms (Wuallo), since it contains sodium, calcium, potassium and other mineral components, all these derivatives help them in their digestion because during the day they eat green, dry and some poisonous fruits and this helps them to have a good diet.

It is a wonderful spectacle after this activity we will explore the path of the primary forest to admire the impressive giant trees and giant lianas of this rain forest.

While we walk, where our guide will explain about the ecology of the rain forest, undergrowth forest, secondary and primary forest, among them inhabit a great diversity of endemic species that we registered.

We return to the lodge to enjoy lunch.

After a break we will have some free time to take a refreshing swim in Lake Sandoval if we have the opportunity we will do a sport fishing / esoteric swim in the afternoon we will take our canoe we will be able to take the best photos of the lake as we appreciate the beautiful sunset that falls on the lake. Tours Day 4: Return to Puerto Maldonado and Airport / Terrestrial Terminal .

Today After breakfast we will say goodbye, we will pack all our things then we will board the rowing canoe to navigate the Lake towards the small port where we will leave the canoe and start the walk to the checkpoint where our outboard boat awaits us to Sailing up the Alto Madre de Dios river, we will arrive at the city of Puerto Maldonado, immediately transfer to the office to collect the luggage where the transfer will take you to the airport / land terminal.
