Travel Day 1:
Puerto Maldonado To the Lodge Inn Rainforest – Amazon Travels – Macaw Tambopata
We ll Pick you up from the terrestrial terminal or airport and then transfer to our office located in the square of arms of the city of Puerto Maldonado from there we will thicken our trip Amazon Travels Macaw Clay lick approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes in our 4×4 mobility, by land until reaching the port of travel by River where our boat out of bounds awaits us to travel upstream of the tambo. In the afternoon we will arrive at our hostel, “COLLPAS INN”.
During the trip we will have opportunities to see different species such as capybaras, birds, turtles and alligators. After lunch we will hike inside the reserve where we will see huge trees and lianas Medicinal plants, and Capuchin monkeys, Squirrel then we will return to our lodge for dinner. After dinner we will do the nocturnal activity in our boat travel where we will observe spotted Cayman and in search the Black and White Cayman
and the option to see other species such as capybaras, ocelot and jaguar that are always on the banks of the Tambo pata river. Nocturnal activity in wildlife travel, walk in the jungle observing diversities of species that come out at night in the amazon Accommodation in our lodge with availability of mosquito nets
shower and bath.
Day 2:
Macaw Clay Lick Chuncho and Hiking and Piraña Fishing – Amazon Travels – Macaw Tambopata .
Today we will get up very early at 5:00 am, with the songs of the birds, then we will take our boat to travel up the Tambopata River ,for 1 hour and 20 minutes enjoying a wonderful sunrise with the opportunity to see ,the king of the jungle (Jaguar) or anaconda on the banks. from the Tambopata River of the Tambopata National Reserve. We will soon arrive where we will be located a few meters from Clay Lick,
which allows us to have the best possible position for the wonderful spectacle where hundreds of parrots, parakeets of different colored species such as red, green, blue macaws come noisily and flutter over the walls of clay , to eat what is your daily diet of mineral salts giving an exhibition and explosion of life and color as it will explode before our eyes it will be a beautiful experience, a beautiful and unforgettable spectacle that nature offers us, we will be there enjoy our breakfasts while we watch the show (so yeah, sit back and relax).
After this activity, we will take the boat down the river to return to the lodge, we will make a stop at the control point to learn more about the
COLLPA DE CHUNCHO AMAZON, – Amazon Travels – Macaw Tambopata
and then we will visit a MUSEUM where we will explain everything about the TAMBOPATA TRAVELs. CANDAMO about the different species it inhabits. this natural space. At the end of this activity we will board the
boat heading to the lodge to have lunch and rest. In the afternoon we will go on a walk to explore the flora and fauna of the reserve national park . Our guide will explain to us about the diversity of species that inhabit this nature space. Return to the lodge to enjoy a delicious dinner. At night we will have a night walk listening to the songs and sounds such as insects, spiders, tarantulas, frogs, snakes, night monkeys, butterflies, beetles, some
nocturnal animals. return to the hostel to rest in their respective private rooms
Day 3: Return to Puerto Maldonado /Airport – Amazon Travels – Macaw Tambopata .
We will wake up with the sounds of the birds and probably howler monkeys, will get our breakfast and then we will go for a walk in teh amazonia, we will cross by the mammal clay lick and then continue looking for some more wildlife and during this walk we will talk about the medicinal plants, the quinine “good for the malaria”, the cats claw, the dragons blood, and the AYAHUASCA are only a few plants that we will find during our last walk in the jungle before our way back to Puerto Maldonado Travel.
After lunch we will have time to repack and take our backpacks back to the river first and then the car 2 hours back to Puerto
Maldonado.

Tambopata Rainforest
45 km / 28 miles south of Puerto Maldonado (travel 2 hours by motorboat). There is also an alternative route: 25 km / 16 miles by land (by 4×4 vehicle) to the community of Infierno and then a river crossing to the reserve (2 hours by
55 HP motor boat travel) Located between the basins of the Tambopata and Heath Rivers, the reserve covers an area of 274.690 hectares and is found in both the Madre de Dios and Puno departments. The wealth of its biodiversity is
immeasurable, and scientist have already registered 632 bird species, 1200 butterfly species, 169 mammal species, 205 fish species, 103 amphibian species, and 67 reptile
species in the amazon. The vegetation is typical of tropical regions. To enter the reserve, prior authorization from INRENA is required in rainforest travel.

As major seed predators, macaws and other parrots are engaged in an “evolutionary race” with plant species, which have developed a protection mechanism where their seeds contain chemical defences – toxins that are
either distasteful or harmful to birds that eat them. Macaws engage in geophagy (eating soil) as a way to counter these toxins. Geophagy occurs at clay licks – special deposits of clay found along riverbanks – where macaws and
parrots gather in large numbers to consume clay jungle amazon , which is high in sodium. The travel Tambopata National Reserve is a nationally protected area of tropical lowland forest amazon in the Peruvian Amazon.The
Reserve was created by the Peruvian government in 1990 to protect the watersheds of the Tambopata and Candamo Rivers, and surrounding rainforest. The world’s largest clay lick, Colpa Colorado, is found here among
the many clay licks of the amazon rainforest travel. Tambopata River travel. Almost 5,000 people inhabit the Reserve, making a living from slash and burn agriculture, small-scale gold mining, timber extraction, hunting and
fishing, all of which threaten the forest and its biodiversity. A network of organisations and communities exist within the Reserve, with the aim of preserving biodiversity by improving awareness of the value of leaving the
forest standing in the amazon .

Amazonia To Bolivia: To get to Bolivia are two iptions One is Brasilea in Brasil crossing the river to the Bolivian border town of Cobija , where there is further trans- portation into Bolivia travel . The second option is by travel boat to Puerto Pardo/Puerto Heath in wildlife travel . The can either be done on a cargo boat (ask at the port; may be hard to find) or by a motorized boat , which will take half a day .
There are immigration off-cials and basic lodging on each side of the border in . From the border, you can continue on into Bolivia down the travel Madre de Dios River to Riberalta, where connections by road can be made elsewhere in Bolivia. This route sees few travelers and you wil wait around for long periods of time to get anywhere to Rainforest .
To Brazil – To get to Brazil you must cross the Madre de Dios River and catch a local bus to Iñapari. From there you can go on foot (one km) to the Brazilian border town of Assis travel. You must get your exit/entry stamp in lñapari amazon, and money can be changed there as well. A few basic hospedajes sit on each side of the border.
If heading to Brazil , you must Brasiléia, 115 knm/69 miles away, for immigration. All Americans need a visa to enter Brazil.
