Day 1: Arrival in Lima
Activities: Arrive in Lima and transfer to a hotel near the airport.
Focus: Rest and prepare for the journey ahead.
Overnight: Lima
Day 2: Journey to Sandoval Lake Lodge -Amazon Birding South Peru
Morning: Flight from Lima to Puerto Maldonado.
Afternoon: Drive to the Tambopata River Port, then take a boat to Sandoval Lake Lodge.
Evening: Explore Sandoval Lake; search for Giant River Otters and other wildlife.
Overnight: Sandoval Lake Lodge
Day 3: Amazon Birding South Peru – Bamboo and Floodplain Forest Exploration
Morning & Afternoon: Hike through bamboo groves and floodplain forests to spot various bird and wildlife species.
Evening: Night safari to observe nocturnal fauna.
Overnight: Sandoval Lake Lodge
Day 4: Amazon Birding South Peru – Travel to Posada Amazonas Lodge
Morning: Return to Puerto Maldonado, then transfer by boat to Posada Amazonas Lodge.
Afternoon: Explore nearby secondary forest trails.

Day 5: Canopy Tower Experience
Morning: Climb a 37-meter canopy tower for panoramic birdwatching.
Afternoon: Continue birding along the lodge’s trails in search of specialized species.

Day 6: Ceiba Tree Trek and Transfer to Refugio Amazonas
Morning: Trek to the towering Ceiba (Kapok) Tree, an important rainforest landmark.
Afternoon: Boat transfer to Refugio Amazonas Lodge.

Days 7–9: Wildlife and Birding along the Tambopata River
Activities:
- Visit the Chuncho Macaw Clay Lick to witness spectacular parrot and macaw gatherings.
- Explore the Castana Trail and an oxbow lake for additional birdwatching opportunities.
- Observe diverse bird and mammal species along forest trails.
Overnight: Refugio Amazonas
Day 10: Departure
Morning: Return to Puerto Maldonado.
Afternoon: Flight to Lima or Cusco, based on your onward travel plans.
