Day 1: Welcome to the Jungle – From Puerto Maldonado to Monkey Island

Reception: Meet our representative at the airport or bus terminal.
Navigation: Boat ride along the Madre de Dios River, observing the rich flora and fauna of the region.
Monkey Island: Visit the island to encounter various species of monkeys in their natural habitat.

Day 2: Travel Amazon Wonders of Sandoval Lake Reserve

Exploration: Boat ride to the Sandoval Lake Reserve, a haven for biodiversity.
Hike: 3 km walk through the forest to reach the lake, followed by a peaceful canoe ride.
Observation: Enjoy lunch while watching giant river otters, black caimans, and a variety of fascinating birds.
Return to Lodge: Dinner and rest.

Day 3:Travel Amazon –  Canopy Walk and Zipline – A Thrilling Jungle Adventure

Canopy Walkway: Take a 200-meter walk along the canopy to reach the observation tower, offering panoramic views of the jungle.

Transfer to our office to store unnecessary baggage for the trip.
Departure to the port of Puerta Capitania and board a motorboat for a scenic journey up the Madre de Dios River.

Sandoval Lake  Eco Tambo:We have 30 rooms, a restaurant, lobby, bar and bungalow with their respective hammocks that are completely protected by meshes (they prevent the entry of mosquitoes).

The rooms are individual and very spacious and comfortable and the walls that divide the rooms are built with

native wood, and have a ceiling giving privacy to each of them.

These are the rooms that we have for clients. 15 rooms between single, double, double and family are in the form of

cabins (bungalow), the side that has a view of the forest or gardens has terraces (where the hammocks are located) or 2 large windows on each side always keeping them ventilated.

All rooms have their own private bathroom and water in the showers which is supplied by the Madre de Dios River, previously clarified and crystallized

Considered the most beautiful Lake of the peruvian amazon and boast of its reputation para los viajes a la selva

peruana. Despite of being close to Puerto Maldonado, it is inside the Tambopata National Reserve and adjacent to

the Tambopata Bahuaja Sonene National Park. This sandoval Lake gives an excellent experience of the amazon and wildlife for jungle trips. If you travel to Puerto Maldonado you should visit it. Sandoval Lake offers daily tours to jungle.

Day 2: Flora and Fauna Exploration & Return to Puerto Maldonado

Early Breakfast & Boat Transfer :Begin your day with an early breakfast at the lodge before boarding a short motorized boat ride to the trailhead leading to Lake Sandoval, one of the most scenic and biodiversity-rich lakes in the Tambopata National Reserve.

Jungle Walk to Lake Sandoval (3 km / ~2 miles)

Upon arrival, check in at the park ranger station before embarking on a 3-kilometer jungle hike through lush, untouched rainforest. Along the way, your guide will point out native plant species and wildlife—keep your eyes open for colorful birds, insects, and possibly monkeys.

Wildlife Canoe Safari on Lake Sandoval

Once you reach the lake, board a traditional wooden canoe for a peaceful paddle across the calm waters of Lake Sandoval. This is one of the best spots in the Amazon to observe wildlife in its natural habitat.Tambopata National Reserve

Wildlife you may encounter includes:

  • Hoatzin – a strange, prehistoric-looking bird unique to the Amazon
