Day 1: Arrival and Heath Wildlife Center
Welcome to your Amazon Birding Tour Tambopata . Upon arrival at Puerto Maldonado airport or bus terminal, we’ll greet you and escort you to our main office for registration. After leaving unnecessary luggage behind, we’ll embark on an exciting journey.
A scenic boat ride down the Madre de Dios River awaits, leading us to the legendary Heath River, bordering Peru and Bolivia. Amidst the breathtaking landscape, keep an eye out for diverse wildlife, including herons, hawks, and capybaras.
Our destination, the Heath River Wildlife Center, offers comfort amidst nature’s beauty, setting the stage for an unforgettable adventure in the Amazon.
Day 2: Parrot and Macaw Clay Lick Chuncho .
Start your day early to witness the stunning spectacle of parrots and macaws gathering at the clay lick. Marvel at their vibrant plumage as they partake in this unique ritual to counteract toxins.
After breakfast amidst this natural theater, explore towering trees and learn about native plants. Then, venture into Pampas del Heath, home to rare endemic birds and mammals.
Return for a night walk and witness the mammal clay lick, offering a chance to spot the magnificent lowland Tapir.
Day 3: Tambopata Reserve Exploration
Awaken to the calls of red howler monkeys and choose from various activities, including revisiting the macaw clay lick or canoeing to an oxbow lake for a closer wildlife encounter.
As night falls, embark on a thrilling boat ride to observe caimans in their natural habitat.
Day 4: Return Journey to Puerto Maldonado
Set off early for a journey down the river, where you might encounter capybaras and tapirs. Pause at the Sandoval checkpoint before hiking to Sandoval Lake reserve, home to giant river otters.

For the Bahuaja Sonene National Park,
specifically in the Colorado sector and Bias Point Four, this zoning is incompatible with the use given to these areas, causing a conflict
in relations between the Park headquarters and population. Both sectors Colorado Bias Point Four, belonging to Zone Recovery and Special Use Zone, home to settlers established before PNBS creation and subsequent to it, using
the lands for agricultural. This situation threatens the conservation of biodiversity in that sector and the possibility that the cleared areas extend further into the PNBS. It is therefore necessary to define the area for the zoning change,
according to the possession rights acquired before the creation of PNBS, adjusting through delimitation of areas with agricultural activities, combining with Park conservation objectives and interest possessor. This report aims to
describe the proposed rezoning Colorado Sector and Bias Point Four to solve conflicts both social sectors. This work aims to solve the ongoing conflicts that are generating with the administration of ANP and villagers land users. This
situation puts threatening biodiversity conservation in this sector and the possibility that deforested areas extend further into the PNBS
