Trekking to the Humantay Lagoon
Next, we travel to Soraypampa, nestled at 3,910 meters (12,828 ft) above sea level. From here, the excitement builds as we begin our 1.5-hour hike towards one of the most stunning natural wonders in the Andes—Humantay Lagoon. As we ascend to 4,200 meters (13,780 ft), you’ll be treated to sweeping panoramic views of the surrounding snow-capped peaks and rugged terrain.
Upon arrival, the crystal-clear turquoise waters of Humantay Lagoon will greet you, reflecting the towering Nevado Humantay, to 5,450 meters (17,880 ft).
