Day 1:Nature Travel    in Peru – Puerto Maldonado – Sandoval Lake Reserve

Morning:Reception at Puerto Maldonado’s Bus Terminal / Airport.
Transfer to our office for registration and to leave luggage necessary for the tour.
Boarding of the outboard boat for a river navigation along the Alto Madre de Dios.

During the Day:Spotting various species of mammals and birds along the river.
Arrival at the Sandoval Lake Reserve control point for registration.
A 3 km hike (approximately 1.5 hours) to a small port.
Canoeing through the Sandoval Lake using paddles, observing natural beauty.

Afternoon:Arrival at the lodge, allocation of private rooms.
Lunch at the lodge.
Exploration of the lake to observe giant otters, black caimans, birds, and other inhabitants.

Sunset:Sunset photography and capturing sun rays in the jungle.
Dinner at the lodge.

Night:Nocturnal observation of caimans, birds, and monkeys with the naturalist guide.
Rest in private lodge rooms.

Day 2: Nature Travel  in Peru – Collpa de Palmeras – Puerto Maldonado – Airport

Morning:Wake up to the sounds of birds’ songs.
Canoeing to explore the “Macaw Palmera” (Collpa de Palmeras).
Observation of macaws and parrots feeding on palm fruits.

Midday:Venturing into the primary forest and understory of the jungle.
Exploration of nut trees (chestnuts) and medicinal plants.
Possible sighting of various species of monkeys, tarantulas, insects, and other animals.

Afternoon:Return to the lodge for lunch.
Preparations for the return journey.

Return:Canoeing back across Lake Sandoval.
Hike back to the control point and navigation on the Madre de Dios River by outboard boat.

Late Afternoon:Arrival at Puerto Maldonado.
Retrieval of luggage at the office.
Transfer to the airport or bus terminal according to each traveler’s itinerary

Amazonia Lodge Casa Sandoval is located on one of the most beautiful lakes in Peru—a vast, protected body of water within the Tambopata National Reserve. The lake is home to a family of giant river otters, an endangered species, and during our stay there is an excellent opportunity to observe them in their natural habitat.

The shores of the lake are surrounded by tropical rainforest and seasonally flooded Mauritia palm forests. These ecosystems shelter six species of monkeys and an impressive diversity of colorful and native birdlife.

A visit to the Tambopata National Reserve allows us to explore Sandoval Lake Reserve Lodge and its surroundings, observe an extraordinary abundance of wildlife, and learn about the unique ecosystems of the Amazon rainforest.

Day 1: Arrival in Puerto Maldonado and Exploring  Amazon Trip  .

Arrive at Puerto Maldonado and be greeted by our team for a transfer from the airport or bus terminal.
Head to the Amazonia Peru Expeditions office to register and kickstart your adventure.
Set off on a scenic boat ride along the Abajo River, soaking in the beauty of the surrounding jungle.
Reach the Lake Sandoval Reserve checkpoint for registration and a guided walk through the reserve.
After a canoe ride to the lodge, settle in for the night.
In the afternoon, embark on your first exploration of Lake Sandoval, observing a variety of wildlife.
As the sun sets, enjoy a nighttime wildlife observation on the lake, keeping an eye out for nocturnal creatures.

Day 2: Exploring the Amazon Jungle and its Wildlife Amazon Trip  .

Day 1: Puerto Maldonado – Amazonia Lodge -Tambopata Amazonia -Adventure Travel 

Arrival: Upon arrival in Puerto Maldonado, known as the Biodiversity Capital of Peru, our representative will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to our office for registration.

Boat Ride: From the main port called Capitanía, we’ll embark on a motorized boat journey along the Bajo Madre de Dios River, immersing ourselves in a fascinating natural ecological environment. Along the way, we may spot species

Welcome: Upon arrival at the lodge, you’ll be greeted with a delicious aphrodisiac fruit nectar from the tropical Amazon before being escorted to your comfortable bungalow.

trail with lush vegetation will lead us to Cocha Caimán, a small lagoon where we can observe black and white

Day 2: Lake Apu Victor – Monkey Island-Tambopata Amazonia -Adventure Travel  .

Morning: Wake up to the songs of birds and howler monkeys, enjoying a breakfast for adventure to prepare for a morning of exploration.

Forest Walk: We’ll trek through the primary forest, crossing streams and rivers via natural bridges, observing untouched flora and fauna.

Lake Apu Victor: Reach the majestic Lake Apu Victor with crystal clear waters, surrounded by immense swamps and

Morning Adventure: Another morning of exploration awaits as we embark on a walk along virgin trails to Cocha Perdida, an exuberant ecosystem full of surprises.

Cocha Perdida: Here, we’ll have the opportunity to observe otters, alligators, tapirs, birds, and possibly even the majestic jaguar.

Amazon Viewpoint: Enjoy breathtaking views of the Amazon jungle from the AMAZON VIEWPOINT before embarking on a canoe ride around the lake.

Day 4: Amazonia Lodge to Puerto Maldonado
