Amazon Lodge

Amazon Lodge Peruvian .

Amazon Lodge : In the jungle of the Peruvian Amazon lodge are rustic and the constructions are natural, like the crisneja are the leaves of palm trees, which are very hand-braided. This is one of the characteristics of Amazonian architecture that dates back many years.

SUMMARY

Amazon Lodge

The Amazon Lodge leaves of palm trees called crisneja are very cool that one does not feel the heat during the summer seasons. WINTER . During the rainy seasons these leaves cover the rains very well, not even a drop passes. For this reason it is highly recommended.

The discovery of this leaf and the devaluation of Amazonian and traditional Amazonian infrastructures, including such as woven leaf roofs, lack technical or scientific foundations on its characteristics and materials and the ability to provide more comfortable and very fascinating for the inhabitants. Furthermore, this is very devalued in an egocentric society and that it is very little inclined towards the cultural exchange of many cultures. It is to recognize the riches of ancestral knowledge of many years that maintain a very rich tradition and are adapted to local environments and an exchange of culture .

Remote Amazonia Peru .

A remote jungle wildlife experience deep in the pristine rainforests of Peru and Bolivia Leaving civilization behind, we venture deep into the Amazon Jungle. Travelling by boat along the Tambopata and Heath Rivers, we cross the

Bolivian frontier to the Heath River Lodge, gateway to the largest uninhabited, unhunted rainforest in the Amazon. With a unique combination of savannah and dense jungle, there are opportunities to spot all manner of monkeys and

an astonishing number of colourful parrots and other birdlife, as well as tapir, capybara and even jaguar. The Macaw
clay lick is amazing. Returning to Peru, we make our way by boat to the Sandoval Lake. Here we walk through the

jungle in search of sloth and howler monkeys, before taking to canoes. The late afternoon brings the lake to life – you’ll see giant otters, spider monkeys and a unique array of birdlife. Our final night is spent at the Sandoval Lake Lodge, before we return to Puerto Maldonado.

ITINERARY

REFUGIO AMAZON– WHO IS IT FOR  -AMAZONAS LODGE

Refugio Amazonas Lodge is ideal for three night outings, travel to Tambopata Research Center, or families because:

  • It takes over three hours to get there from Puerto Maldonado and most of your first afternoon is spent on the river. Therefore, you should spend at least three nights at Refugio Amazonas to have time to fully explore the surrounding primary forest.
  • The extra two hours of travel time are well paid in increased possibilities to encounter wildlife (the further from Puerto Maldonado, the less people there are, the less pressure on wildlife there is).
  • Refugio Amazonas offers all of Posada Amazonas’ activities with one great addition: an authentic Brazil nut trail and camp.
  • For those traveling to Tambopata Research Center, it brings you two hours nearer to your final destination (see Tambopata Research Center programs).
  • For those traveling with children it offers the only attraction especially made for children, by children, in the Peruvian Amazon – The Children’s Rainforest Trail.
  • It is ideal for soft-adventure enthusiasts.
