Nature’s Dance: Discovering Wildlife in its Purest Form
In this privileged corner of the Earth, wildlife observation becomes a dance of life. The jungle pulses with movement and sound—each leaf, each rustle, each call, a connection to the intricate web of biodiversity.
Imagine:
- The rapid flutter of a hummingbird

The Heart of the Journey: Tambopata & Candamo National Reserve
At the core of the Amazon Explorer experience lies the Tambopata-Candamo Reserved Zone, located in Madre de Dios, one of the most biodiverse and remote regions of Peru.
- This sacred land is:
- A haven for cloud forests and lowland rainforest
- A refuge for rare and endemic species
- A living testament to millions of years of evolution
Here, every step is a reminder: this place must be protected. As you walk beneath ancient trees and glide along pristine rivers, the message is clear—we are all stewards of the Earth.
The Amazon Explorer Tour (3 Days / 2 Nights)
This 3D/2N adventure in Tambopata, Peru is not just a trip. It’s a spiritual reconnection with the natural world, designed for those seeking meaning, wonder, and a profound sense of awe.
Tour Highlights:
- Canoe excursions on Sandoval Lake, known for its mirror-like waters

- Whether you’re a passionate photographer, a nature enthusiast, or a curious traveler, this experience will awaken your senses and nourish your soul.
Madre de Dios: The Virgin Land of Southeastern Peru
The department of Madre de Dios (Spanish for Mother of God) is a vast and mysterious region in southeastern Peru. During the Spanish colonial era, this land remained unexplored and unnamed by the Inca or colonists—so it was simply dedicated to one of the most sacred figures in Catholicism.
Fittingly, Madre de Dios is still one of the most untouched regions in South America, known for:
- Dense, trackless rainforests
- Vast swamps and winding rivers
- A spiritual wildness that humbles even seasoned explorers
Despite increasing access through new roads, large areas of primary forest remain intact, thanks to national reserves, eco-lodges, and committed conservation efforts. However, threats like deforestation, mining, and hunting make sustainable tourism more critical than ever.
A Glimpse Into Amazonian Biodiversity
The numbers speak for themselves:
- 1,300+ species of birds, including 32 species of parrots (10% of the global total)
- 200+ species of mammals, from jaguars to capybaras
- 90+ species of frogs of incredible diversity
- 1,200+ species of butterflies flutter through the air
- 94+ species of fish in rivers, lakes, and oxbow lagoons
- 135+ species of ants, each playing a vital role in the ecosystem
- 10,000+ varieties of plants, including orchids, heliconias, bromeliads, and medicinal herbs
And new species are still being discovered. Every year, scientists uncover life forms previously unknown to science—a powerful reminder of how rich, complex, and mysterious this ecosystem truly is.
Rainforest Peru: A Living World Still Largely Unexplored
Despite its global significance, only around 30% of the Peruvian Amazon has been fully explored. The rest remains a mystery—hidden beneath dense foliage, protected by rivers, and guarded by the sheer scale of the wilderness.
From the Andean highlands to the lowland jungles, the rainforest maintains its own microclimates, nurturing species that evolved in isolation for centuries.
This is not just a tour. It is a rare chance to witness the beauty and magic of a living world that still holds secrets.
Why Choose Amazon Explorer?
- Choosing Amazon Explorer isn’t just about travel—it’s about:
- Supporting conservation
