Jungle Trip 3 days

In this trip to the Peruvian Amazon to Jungle Trips, we will have the opportunity to visit the community of Infierno.

Infierno is one of the three Ese’eja communities in Peru.

Here, we will learn about their cultures, languages, traditions, and the craftsmanship they have maintained for many years.

During this tour, we will observe the clay licks of macaws, parrots, parakeets, and some mammals.

We will also enjoy hikes through the tropical rainforest, primary jungle, and untouched virgin jungle.

A visit to Lake Tres Chimbadas on a catamaran will allow us to observe the wildlife up close, such as turtles, caimans, otters, birds, and different species of native and medicinal plants.

 

Day 1: Puerto Maldonado – Tambopata Infierno Native Community .

Reception by your guide at the terminal or airport.

Visit the Puerto Maldonado market for regional Amazonian products.

Amazonian safari: Travel by vehicle to the Native Hell Community.

Board an outboard boat to journey up the Tambopata River, spotting wildlife.

Arrival at the lodge in Tambopata National Reserve, welcomed with a jungle drink.

Lunch followed by a guided jungle exploration, learning about medicinal plants and wildlife.

Dinner at the lodge.

Day 2: Tambopata Canopy Tower – Macaw Clay Lick and Tres Chimbadas Lake .

  • Breakfast at the lodge.
    Canopy Tower visit: Boat ride upstream followed by a jungle trek to the tower for birdwatching and sunset views.
    Visit the Macaw Clay Lick to observe colorful macaws.
    Explore Tres Chimbadas Lake, ideal for observing wildlife such as giant river otters and birds.
    Return to the lodge for lunch.
    Afternoon walk to the bamboo forest, with chances to spot monkeys and birds.
    Catamaran ride around the lake.
    Dinner at the lodge.
    Night walk to observe nocturnal animals and meditation session.
    Overnight at the lodge.

Day 3: Tambopata – Back to Puerto Maldonado – Jungle Trip

Breakfast at the lodge.
Boat ride downstream of the Tambopata River.
Visit a local family in the Native Community Hell for cultural exchange.
Explore the Cultural House and Artisanal Crafts, witnessing traditional Amazonian craftsmanship.
Return to Puerto Maldonado by private vehicle.
Transfer to the airport or bus station.

ITINERARY

Jungle Trip 3 days

DAY 1:  Puerto Maldonado – Tambopata Infierno Native Community Port  to jungle Trip  .

Reception by our professional guide at the terminal or airport, then transfer to our office to leave your luggage and take what you need from there we will visit the jungle food market in Puerto Maldonado, where we will taste regional Amazonian products.

From there we will be transported in our private vehicle to the Infierno Community called Nativo, where it awaits us to board our outboard boat up the Tambo River to explore its turbulent waters. Where we will observe different species around the Tambo Pat River such as turtles sunbathing in the trees, capybaras, alligators sunbathing on the beach, fishing birds and migratory birds with the luck of seeing the King of the jungle called the jaguar, tapirs, wild pig capybaras. Then we will arrive at our hostel which is located in the same Tambo pata reserve, where we will have a welcome and reception with some exotic drinks. Accommodation in your private rooms. After lunch we will explore the jungle by taking a walk in the primary forests.
That will allow us to walk among compact vegetation and learn about the uses and properties of medicinal plants and see very enormous and ancient trees that can reach between 80 and 100 meters in height and that are more than 500 years old in this dog-like Amazon called tambo. paw . We will also observe wildlife such as birds and monkeys, tapirs, deer, armadillos, wild pigs, etc.
After dinner we will go in search of the alligators.

We will be looking for black and white alligators (there are no crocodiles) we will take the boat along the river exploring with the guide who will carry a flashlight to search the river bank with a powerful light until we find bright red eyes that are approaching.
After this activity, return to the hostel to rest in your private rooms.

Day 2 :Tambopata Canopy Tower – Macaw Clay Lick and Tres Chimbadas Lake  to Jungle Trip.

Today it will be a pleasant day after breakfast you will do the Canopy Tower adventure: we will take the boat up the Tambo Pat River for approximately 20 minutes, from there we will begin the walk to the deepest part of the tropical jungle, along the way we will appreciate the Amazon jungle in all its splendor, such as trees, birds, insects, batrachians, amphibians and some large animals that have lived in their natural habitat for many years. Once we arrive at the Canopy Tower we will see a surprising construction (40 m) high which will give us access to observe birds, toucans, hummingbirds, orioles and we will have the opportunity to appreciate the treetops and enjoy an Amazonian sunset of a red sun on the horizon.

Macaw clay lick

The macaws instinctively go every morning to these large, salty clay walls found on the banks of the Tambo Pata River. Where these birds come down to peck the soil substrates of this clay and eat to detoxify their digestive system.

When these birds consume different foods such as green or poisonous nuts, dry bark that contains toxins and add mineral nutrients to their diet since the components of Clay have Bentonite, Carbon and Calcium are nutritional supplements.

Tres Chimbadas Lake:

Visit to Tres Chimbadas Lake: to get there we will walk more than 25 minutes to the lake, it is very beautiful and quiet. This Tres Chimbadas Lake is the ideal place to observe wildlife, with greater diversity where we will have the opportunity to observe giant otters. river, turtles, birds, etc.

This species is in danger of extinction and many species such as birds are related to that type of habitat.
We will explore the lush jungle with the greatest vegetation that surrounds us with incredible flora and fauna.
Return to our lodge to enjoy a delicious lunch.

In the afternoon after lunch we will begin a walk towards the deepest jungle to the bamboo forests, which are the largest in the area. On this walk we will have the opportunity to observe monkeys and birds, upon arrival we will have an impressive view of the lake. Here we will board a catamaran to sail.

After dinner we will prepare for a unique experience, the night walk to see nocturnal animals such as insects, amphibians, arachnids or some mammals that are active at night.
We will also have a meditation time to obtain the energy of nature while listening to the noises of the jungle.

Day 3 : Tambopata – Back to Puerto Maldonado  – Jungle Trip

Today we will get up very early to have breakfast then we will board the outboard boat to sail down the Tambo Pata river where we will visit the native family Visit a local family We will go visit a local family to interact with them and learn about their culture, history and way of life.

Then we will visit the community’s Artisan House where they will impress us with their art of weaving and jewelry.
All these arts are made from Amazonian fibers and seeds. Using natural fiber and Paiche scale in attractive traditional costumes. Tamichi fiber, seeds of: huairuro, seje, hay, casharana and more.

After this activity we will take our private transportation back to the city of Puerto Maldonado from there we will transfer to the bus station or airport for 2 hours before.
