Day 1: Welcome to the Amazon Jungle

Arrival in Puerto Maldonado
Your adventure begins with a warm welcome from our representative at the Puerto Maldonado airport or coach terminal. After a quick stop at our office to store any unnecessary luggage, you’ll pack a smaller bag with personal essentials for the trip ahead.

River Journey on Madre de Dios
We then head to the local port, where you’ll board a motorboat and cruise down the majestic Madre de Dios River. Along the way, marvel at the vibrant wildlife, including turtles, birds, monkeys, caimans, and more, offering the perfect introduction to the Amazon.

Into the Sandoval Lake Reserve
