Amazonia Travel – Sandoval Lake Lodge 2days

The Amazon rainforest of Peru is one of the most biodiverse regions on the planet. It houses 15% of all known species of terrestrial plants and  around 10% of the mammals inthe jungle. In one hectare of forest can be found up to 300different species of trees in the Amazonia Travel – Sandoval Lake Lodge. In the Peruvian Amazon also home to about 220,000 peoplefrom 180 indigenous tribes living in the interior ofthe jungle with a much larger number of settlers  . The forest provides these people with everything from food and shelter to tools and medicines, and has a central role in the spiritual life of the Indians rainforest travel.

All this is threatened by deforestation of national and international companies, and criminal activities associated with it, to introduce agricultural crops like soybeans, which is mainly used to

produce feed for the animals in the tropical  forest .

Tours Day 1 :Service Level  Luxurious:

Puerto Maldonado to  Jungle Trips

  • We will pick you up from the airport in our bus in puerto maldonado.
  • We take our boat 45 minutes down the river of Madre de Dios in jungle trips travel  .
  • We register in the reserve jungle travel .
  • We will walk a nature trail about 5 kilometers or about 2 hours-/+ to reserve
  • Lunch and free time
  • We start to explore in our paddle canoe where you will see giant river otters, The Black Caiman, turtles,birds, monkeys, macaw and many more exotic plants and animals .

Amazonia Travel – Sandoval Lake Lodge

Tour Day 1:  Amazon Jungle  – Amazonia Travel – Sandoval Lake Lodge

You are welcomed and pick-up from the airport/coach terminal of Puerto Maldonado by our Representative to you to our office where you can leave your larger baggage which is not necessary for the trip Amazon Travel – Sandoval Lake Lodge , but you will need to bring a

backpack for personal items and more  .Then, we transfer you to a local port where you board a motorboat and navigate down the Madre de Dios River.  On the way, we observe various mammal species such as turtles, birds, lizards, monkeys, turtles, caimans, etc.,

until we reach a checkpoint of the Reserve and after passing a check, we start walking for 5 km (1 and half to 2 hours) to reach to reserved center  where we take a canoe bringing us to the  we accommodate ourselves and after lunch, we return sailing the lagoon in a canoe to see its typical inhabitants – giant river otters, black caimans, a prehistoric bird shansho, herons, cormorants, kingfisher, etc.

Then, we return to the lodge for dinner to later get back to the lagoon  again, and this time to undertake an evening caiman observation, as caimans are nocturnal animals. Our professional naturalist travel Guide shows and explains us about these animals. We overnight in the  lodge.

Tour Day  2: Amazonia Travel – Sandoval Lake Lodge to Puerto Maldonado / Airport .

Today, we wake up very early go to the surroundings of the  where huge number of various palms grow in its water creating an area of marsh. This place is called Collpa the Palmeras MACAW PALM TREE tree and it attracts various macaw species and other parrots to eat sawdust of its palms as it contains sodium, calcium, potassium and other minerals helping them to digest.

Then, we go back to the lodge to be given breakfast. Later, we take a trip going to observe stunning flora and fauna of the  Reserve  . We can appreciate monkeys, deer, wild boars, tapirs or spectacled bears, just to name a few. We return to the for lunch. Afterwards, we get ready for a return boarding a canoe again otter  over the   followed by a walk to the checkpoint and from there sailing the Madre de Dios River by a motorboat towards Puerto Maldonado.

We pick our baggage up in our office and then, we are transferred either to the airport or the coach terminal.

There are an estimated 500 species of palms in the New World, of which the  claims about 150 species, or 27%. Of these, about 75% are endemic in the Amazon Rainforest Travel . Amazonia Peru – Amazon Travel – Sandoval Lake Lodge .

Located in the Tambopata National Reserve, is perched above what many rainforest specialists feel is the most attractive lake in Peru  travel, and provides access to one of the most biologically diverse areas on the planet is located on  , considered one of the most beautiful in the Peruvian . This privileged location allows you to visit the  early in the morning or evening hours where wildlife is most active . No other lodge in Tambopata-Madidi is located a lake in the jungle travel .

Despite the attention given to the palms by naturalists as the lowlands are relatively poor in species of palms. For example, Panama, which has less than 1% of the size of the Amazon basin, has 100 species of palms (versus 150 travel throughout the Amazon travel). Ecuador, which has 4% of basin size, with 120 species.
