Amazon Green Tambopata Tours 4 days / 3 nights

Tours Day 1:

Puerto Maldonado – Amazon Green  Eco Lodge Inn.

Flight to Puerto Maldonado, and journey to the lodge Amazon Green Tambopata Tours . Following your morning flight to Puerto Maldonado from Lima or Cusco, you will be met at the airport by your naturalist guide and transferred to a dugout canoe for the trip up the River to the lodge Inn .

On the journey the vegetation changes from colonized deforested areas to virgin rain forest. A box-lunch is provided on board. On arrival you’ll have a welcome drink and meet the rest of the staff. In the late afternoon you set off for an introductory walk into the “terra firme

” forest behind the lodge (Trail 2), dominated by giant Brazil-nut and Dipteryx trees. Frequently seen mammals on this trail are Saddle-back Tamarinds, Brown Capuchins, Agoutis, Pacas, Blue-Morpho butterflies, Trogons, Toucans and many other species of birds this specie in rainforest green trip.

After dinner a night walk to find nocturnal animals or insects by the eye-shine a specialization for increasing the light and see better, about 50% of the animals are nocturnal in the rainforest.

Tours Day 2:

Hike to Lake Condenado – Macaw Clay Lick Chuncho – Amazon Green Tambopata Tours

Hike into wild green to Lake Condenado & trip to the Macaw & parrot Clay-lick “EL CHUNCHO” (Collpa). After an early breakfast you and your nature guide will board the motorized canoe . once again for the short journey to the trail head  to begin a morning’s exploration by foot and paddle canoe .

of the lake system of Condenado, rich in bird and aquatic life. A family of Giant Otters lives in the vicinity of the lake and are often observed rainforest  Green . Birds abound especially Rufescent Tiger-herons, Great Egrets, Wattled Jacanas, Hoatzin, the noisy Donacobius and many others.

Remember to bring your hat and sun cream for there is no shade out on the water. You will return to the lodge in time for lunch. After lunch you return to the canoe to continue the journey upstream, a further 2 hrs, to an area deep within the Reserve .

where the isolated MACAW & PARROT CLAY LICK “EL CHUNCHO” is situated. This Collpa is actually the second large clay cliffs lining the Tambopata River in this area. After dinner you will go searching for some animals like Capybaras, Caimans, Tapirs, and the famous Jaguar .

by walk along the banks of the Tambopata River, Many foot prints of these animals are daily observed on the banks. Camping on the beach near the Clay Lick  “EL CHUNCHO”. (B,L,D).

Tours Day 3:

Collpa El Chuncho – Tambopata Eco Lodge Inn  to Amazon Green Tambopata Tours

Visit the Clay Lick  “EL CHUNCHO” and return to  Eco Lodge. A pre-dawn start is needed to get to the clay-lick before the birds. They arrive in search of minerals and salts and the digestive properties of the clay particles themselves.

On average several dozens Macaws and smaller parrots visit the clay-lick daily, including Scarlet, Blue and Yellow, Red and Green, and Chestnut-fronted and Blue-headed parrots, among others. Following a late morning hike we return down river to the lodge for lunch.

At night you will go searching for Caimans (alligators) and other nocturnal animals by canoe along the Tambopata River. Night in the Tambopata Eco Lodge. (B, L, D).

Tours Day 4:

National Reserve  Eco Lodge  – Return to Puerto Maldonado /Airport .

Departure. Time to return to the city of Puerto Maldonado is scheduled according to flight time of the group. In the mornings you can see the wildlife that is particularly active at this time, are frequently heard howler monkeys or stop.

Your guide will give support to his arrival in Puerto Maldonado and will relocate to the airport and assist you on your flight.

Additional days at the Macaw Clay Lick  ( Collpa ):

Any number of extra days in the vicinity of the Collpa, over and above the aforementioned program, is possible. These can be guided or unguided according to your preference and interests. During these days you can either; explore the trail system

in more depth, going further a field along trails not visited before; visit a small lake hidden amongst the trees with a floating viewing platform situated in it; take a trip up river to explore a clear forest stream teeming with fish. Full board is included during each of these days.

Included in the Jungle Green:

What to take with you to the jungle Green :

• Mosquito repellent (DEET 35 recommended as a MINIMUM!!) to bring with you to amazonia green,

• Long sleeved cotton shirts (preferably green coloured),
• Long cotton trousers special hikking explorer green ,

Amazon  Green Peru

Amazon green is located in the same reserve as the tambopata national reserve. Where the tropical forest is a green savannah during the years, this Peruvian Amazon has a greater diversity of species. Throughout the year it is green

because the land is very humid. This place is very special because the largest clay lick in South America was discovered. In this green natural area inhabits the 7 species of aras (macaws). Which are in extinction during the

years they found their natural habitat. At the edge of the river there are large walls of salty clay, where every morning this time and others congregate to eat this clay and other mammals during the day and night,

and other large mammals are there to hunt their prey. This rainforest green fulfills an important role in wildlife

Amazon Green Tambopata Tours 4D/3N

Tours Día 1:

 Puerto Maldonado – Amazon Tambopata Eco Lodge .

Vuelo a Puerto Maldonado, y viaje hacia el albergue.

Luego de su vuelo en la mañana a Puerto Maldonado de Lima o Cusco, usted será recibido en el aeropuerto por su guía naturalista y será trasladado a nuestro bote con motor fuera de borda para su viaje por el río Tambopata hacia el albergue. En el trayecto se observa los cambios de vegetación, desde áreas colonizadas y deforestadas hasta la selva virgen. A su llegada al lodge usted tendrá una bebida de bienvenida y se encontrará con el resto del personal. En la tarde usted tendrá un paseo introductorio a “tierra firme” en el bosque detrás del Tambopata Eco Lodge (Trocha 2), dominado por los gigantes arboles de castaña y los árboles de Chihuahuaco. Los mamíferos que se ven con más frecuencia en esta trocha son el Mono Pichico o Leoncillo, Capuchinos Marrones o Mono Martín, Agutis, Pacas, Mariposas Azul-Morpho, Trogones, Tucanes y muchas otras especies de pájaros, después de la cena se realiza una caminata nocturna, donde se podrán encontrar animales o insectos nocturnos, los cuales se podrán localizar por el brillo de sus ojos cuando se les alumbra con una linterna, aproximadamente 50% de los animales en la selva son nocturnos. Noche en Tambopata Ecolodge.

Tours Día 2:

 Lago Condenado – Macaw Collpa de Loros – Chuncho  .

Caminata al Lago Condenado y Viaje hacia la Collpa de Guacamayos y Loros “El Chuncho”.- Después de un desayuno temprano, usted y su guía abordarán el bote con motor fuera de borda, una vez más para una jornada corta en este día, llegaremos a la trocha donde se inicia la caminata y exploración por la mañana y luego un paseo por los lagos Condenado 1 & 2, en nuestras canoas a remos, estos lagos son ricos en pájaros y vida acuática. Una familia de Nutrias Gigantes o Lobos de Río viven en el lago y a menudo son vistos. Rica y abundante avifauna especialmente las garzas-atigradas, garzas blancas, tuqui tuqui, shanshos, el pájaro ruidoso Donacobius cabeza negra y muchos otros. Recuerde traer su sombrero y crema bloqueadora para protegerse del sol porque en los lagos no hay sombra. Usted volverá al albergue a tiempo para el almuerzo. Después del almuerzo usted volverá al bote para continuar la jornada, luego de dos horas y media de navegación río arriba, llegamos al área más esperada de este programa donde está ubicada la collpa de Guacamayos y Loros llamada “EL CHUNCHO”. Esta Collpa es una de las importantes a lo largo del río Tambopata. Luego usted y su guía tienen la noche para explorar en la playa del lugar donde trataremos de observar las familias de capibaras (el roedor más grande del mundo) , así como el mamífero más grande y escurridizo “TAPIR” O “SACHAVACA” , el no menos famoso “JAGUAR” . Noche en campamento cerca de la Collpa “EL CHUNCHO”.

Tours Día 3:

Collpa  Chuncho – Tambopata Eco Lodge .

Visita a la Collpa “EL CHUNCHO” y regreso a TAMBOPATA ECO LODGE.- Es necesario salir al amanecer para llegar a la Collpa antes de los Guacamayos. Ellos llegan en busca de sales, minerales y las propiedades digestivas de la arcilla. Muchos Guacamayos y loros que visitan diariamente la Collpa incluyendo los Guacamayos Ara Chloroptera, (Green-Winged Macaw) y Ara Macaw (Scarlet Macaw), entre otros. Esta collpa está considerada como la segunda más importantes dentro de la Reserva Nacional del Tambopata! retornamos al campamento y nos preparamos para la vuelta a TAMBOPATA ECO LODGE en nuestro bote río abajo a donde llegamos a tiempo para el almuerzo, En la Tarde nuestro sistema de trochas con sus respectivos atractivos los esperan. Al anochecer usted y su guía buscaran caimanes y otros animales nocturnos en la canoa motorizada por el río Tambopata. Noche en Tambopata Eco Lodge.

Tours Día 4:

Amazon  Tambopata –  Puerto Maldonado .

Salida. Traslado del Ecolodge hacia la ciudad de Puerto Maldonado para coger su vuelo de retorno. Su guía le brindará su apoyo a su arribo en Puerto Maldonado, también lo trasladaran hasta el aeropuerto y lo asistirán en su vuelo de salida.
